Hill-Rom, Inc., is a company that makes hospital beds, furniture, other health care equipment, and medical technology systems.
Hill-Rom is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hill-Rom Holdings, Inc., and a former subsidiary of Hillenbrand Industries. Hill-Rom made up 65% of Hillenbrand Industries' revenue in 2004. In October 2008, Hill-Rom acquired Sweden-based Liko, a manufacturer of mobile and stationary patient lift systems and associated accessories for $183M.
The company has their primary offices and manufacturing facilities in Acton, MA, Batesville, IN, Cary, NC, Charleston, SC, Montpellier, France, Pluvigner, France, and as well as a multitude of offices and service centers around the world. The Batesville, IN location is the global headquarters of the company, and is the base of the company's manufacturing operations in the United States. Hill-Rom and its former sister companies and subsidiaries represent one of the largest employers in the city of Batesville. The Cary location is the headquarters of the company's IT Solutions division, focusing on medical systems technology for nurse communication, fetal monitoring, patient safety, patient workflow, and bed and medical equipment interfaces. History

Hill-Rom was founded on October 23, 1929 by William A. Hillenbrand. Originally, the company crafted wooden furniture for hospitals.
In 1927, William A. (Bill) Hillenbrand and his aunt Mary Mitchell initiated a project to open a community hospital. To staff the hospital, they turned to a family friend, Father Charles B. Moulinier, founder and president of the Catholic Hospital Association.
Father Moulinier had long admired the fine oak furniture being crafted by the local artisans and thought its beauty stood in harsh contrast to the cold metal furniture of hospital patient rooms. Bill realized he could "bring the home into the hospital" by offering hospitals wooden furniture to help create a warmer, more comfortable environment.
For the next two years, he researched his idea thoroughly by talking with doctors, nurses, interns, hospital administrators, and maintenance and housekeeping staff. Knowing his furniture had to be comfortable, functional and durable, he also studied safety designs.
In October 1929, as the country plummeted into the Great Depression, Bill founded Hill-Rom and began an unconventional marketing plan. He persuaded hospitals to furnish their private rooms with his wooden furniture for six months free of charge. If they weren’t satisfied, they could simply return the furniture. After the trial periods, none of the furniture was returned and some hospitals placed orders for more.

Great -except for packaging/shipping

Walker works great, large wheels allow for stable movement on a variety of surfaces. I reccomend getting some "balls" for the caps otherwise they will wear very quickly (doesn't need to be the "special" ones, just cheap tennis balls will work fine - they will all show wear after even 1 use).
My only problem was with the shipping & packaging. It was sent in a HUGE (almost 5 ft tall by 3-4 ft wide) package. I couldn't tell you why.. after having spinal surgery there was no way I could get it inside the house.

Great and Stable

This is a very reliable walker (as I have several). A recommendation however, switch the wheels to the inside. It does not affect stability, but allows it more places to access. This is particularly true of bathrooms doorway widths, just press the height adjustment button on the wheel legs, slide off completely and switch to the other side (they are interchangeable). The wheels allow it to roll a little, but when a persons weight is applied to the handles the rear legs stabilize it from rolling. Glad I got it.

Buyer Beware!I originally bought these pads in August of '09 from a companycalled Northshore for $35 dollars. Not only did I receive them in 2days, but the quality was excellent as well. The Chux were thick andnon-scratchy, and more importantly, they were durable. They also camein 4 separate bags of 25. Wonderful! I was so pleased with my order, that when I re-ordered them inNovember, I purposefully used the same link from my account, assumingthat I would be ordering the SAME product from the SAME company. Wrong.Apparently, someone at Amazon switched the supplier, but kept the linkthe same, because my November order came from a place called BP MedicalSupplies. Not only did they take forever to arrive (a week after thedate I was given), but the quality of the Chux was completelydifferent. They didn't come in 4 bags of 25, but 1 bag of 150 (Iordered 2 sets), which were crammed into a tiny box. They were cheap,scratchy and SO thin, you could practically see right through them.They absorbed nothing. I actually poked a finger through one, as I tookthem out of the bag. A smart wheelchair is any motorized platform with a chair designed to assist a user with a physical disability, where an artificial control system augments or replaces user control ^[1]. Its purpose is to reduce or eliminate the user's task of driving a motorized wheelchair. Usually, a smart wheelchair is controlled by a computer, has a suite of sensors and applies techniques in mobile robotics, but this is not necessary. The interface may consist of a conventional wheelchair joystick , or it may be a "sip-and-puff" device or a touch-sensitive display connected to a computer. This is different from a conventional motorized or electric wheelchair, in which the user exerts manual control over motor speed and direction via a joystick or other switch- or potentiometer-based device, without intervention by the wheelchair's control system.
Smart wheelchairs usually employ sonar, infrared sensors or laser rangefinders to detect obstacles and modify the user's intended drive command to ensure that the platform does not collide with them. Some smart wheelchairs may be equipped with robotic manipulators, used to manipulate common household objects or grasp door handles, for example, and some may employ computer vision techniques to visually detect obstacles or landmarks to assist in navigation.
Smart wheelchairs are designed for a variety of user types. Some platforms are designed for users with cognitive impairments, such as dementia, where these typically apply collision-avoidance techniques to ensure that users do not accidentally select a drive command that results in a collision. Other platforms focus on users living with severe motor disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, or with paraplegia, and the role of the smart wheelchair is to interpret small muscular activations as high-level commands and execute them. Such platforms typically employ techniques from artificial intelligence, such as path-planning, artificial reasoning, and behavior-based control.

A motorized shopping cart in a supermarket

A motorized shopping cart (also known as electric shopping cart) is a shopping cart equipped with an electric motor and navigational controls. It includes a seat (often times equipped with an occupant seat switch activating movement of the motorized shopping cart from the occupant's weight) thereby also making it a motorized wheelchair, and it has a rechargeable battery that can be charged by plugging in the device when not in use in order to maximize usage. Motorized shopping carts are provided by supermarkets and other large retail stores for those with permanent or temporary physical disabilities who may have difficulty walking through a large store or pushing a regular cart^[1]^[2]^[3].
The first motorized shopping carts were manufactured by Amigo Mobility International Inc, in Bridgeport, Mich. Fred Meijer was the first retailer to introduce motorized shopping carts in his Flint, Mich. Meijer location in 1970. Since then, multiple manufacturers have developed these products for those with walking difficulties worldwide.
Sage Industries in Arkansas introduced their product in Klein's Supermarket in Tomball, Texas in 1985^[4]^[5]. They have since expanded to numerous other stores around the world and benefited many with various disabilities and even pregnant women.
Many of the customers who use motorized shopping carts are not full-time wheelchair users, but find shopping easier using the device since a regular cart may be harder to push, especially when filled with merchandise, and walking through a large store may be cumbersome for one who is able to walk only short distances on their own power.

While shopping cart theft has also been a costly matter for retailers, the higher cost of the motorized carts makes their theft a greater issue to the store, and thereby leads stores to establish policies prohibiting the carts from exiting stores, even though a disabled person may have the need to bring the cart all the way to their vehicle.
In May 2009, a Florida man was charged with felony theft of a motorized cart due to its $2500 value. He was caught not far from the store, riding the cart^[6]. Had a non-electric cart been stolen, the theft would have been a misdemeanor.
In the same month, two South Carolina men were charged with the theft of a cart, and likewise faced felony charges due to it value over $2000^[7].

There has been concern over the carts leading to injuries when used by those who do not know how to control them well. The injuries can occur to the user if s/he crashes into an object with the cart, or to a person the user crashes into. To reduce the risk of injury, most carts have a back-up warning system similar to those found on trucks.
In Illinois in 2008, a $50,000 lawsuit was filed by a woman who was hit by a cart steered by an employee of a supermarket^[8]. The woman claimed she sustained hip injuries as a result^[9]^[10].

While these carts are generally reserved for the disabled, most stores will take one's word for being a disabled person and will not challenge one's need for a cart. But there have been some cases reported in which a person with a non-visible disability has requested the use of a motorized cart, but has been denied the use by store employees who do not believe the customer has a disability.
There has also been concern over minors using the carts. In January 2009, a Wal-Mart store in Tennessee did not allow an 11-year-old girl with a broken leg to use a motorized cart, despite the fact that she had been allowed by other stores to use them.
Also of concern is who should have priority in using the cart. In August 2009, a 28-year-old man was charged with battery when he pushed an 86-year-old man out of a motorized cart when the 86-year-old man allegedly took a motorized cart that the 28-year-old's mother was using.^[11].

A motorized wheelchair, powerchair, electric wheelchair or electric-powered wheelchair (EPW) is a wheelchair that is propelled by means of an electric motor rather than manual power. Motorized wheelchairs are useful for those unable to propel a manual wheelchair or who may need to use a wheelchair for distances or over terrain which would be fatiguing in a manual wheelchair. They may also be used not just by people with 'traditional' mobility impairments, but also by people with cardiovascular and fatigue based conditions.

The electric-powered wheelchair was invented by George Klein who worked for the National Research Council of Canada, to assist injured veterans during World War II.^[1]

Powerchair design may be categorised by drive system/chassis, battery, controller, seat, and use.

[edit] Drive System/Chassis

Powerchairs are generally four-wheeled and non-folding, however some folding designs exist and other designs may have some ability to partially dismantled for transit.
Four general styles of powerchair drive systems exist: front, centre or rear wheel drive and all-wheel drive. Powered wheels are typically somewhat larger than the trailing/castoring wheels, while castoring wheels are typically larger than the castors on a manual chair. Centre wheel drive powerchairs have castors at both front and rear for a six-wheel layout.
Powerchair chassis may also mount a kerb-climber, a powered device to lift the front wheels over a kerb of 10cm or less.
Some manual wheelchairs may also be fitted with an auxiliary electric power system. This can take one of three forms: integrated with the hub of hand-propelled wheels, so that any force on the pushrims is magnified by the drive system, or mounted under the wheelchair and controlled as for a powerchair, but with the motive force either transmitted to the main wheels via a friction drive system, or delivered directly through an auxiliary drive wheel.
Some experimental all-terrain powerchair designs have been produced with tracks rather than wheels, but these are not in common use.
Other experimental designs have incorporated stair-climbing abilities and Dean Kamen's iBOT design featured both stair climbing and the ability to 'stand' on its up-ended chassiss via the use of advanced gyroscopic sensors. The iBOT was at one time a production model, but is no longer marketed.

The electric motors of powerchairs are usually powered by 4 or 5 amp deep-cycle rechargeable batteries, similar to those used to power outboard boat engines. These are available in wet or dry options. As wet-cell batteries may not legally be carried on an aircraft without removing them from the wheelchair and securing them in a shipping container, dry-cell batteries are preferred for powerchair use. Many powerchairs carry an on-board charger which can be plugged into a standard wall outlet; older or more portable models may have a separate charger unit.

Controllers are most commonly an arm-rest mounted joystick which may have additional controls to allow the user to tailor sensitivity or access multiple control modes. The controller may be swing-away to aid in side-transfers. For users who are unable to use a hand controller various alternatives are available such as sip-and-puff controllers, worked by blowing into a sensor. In some cases the controller may be mounted for use by an aide walking behind the chair rather than by the user.
'Thought-control' of powerchairs, actually working by the detection of brainwaves or nerve signals via sensors on the scalp or elsewhere, has been demonstrated in the laboratory environment.

The seating on a powerchair may be little more than the sling seat found on low-end manual wheelchairs, but is generally more substantial, frequently a 'captain's chair' design. Head rests are a common adaption and specialist seating solutions are available for users who need individually tailored support. Leg rests may be integrated into the seating design and may have powered adjustment for those users who need to vary their leg position. Powerchairs may also have a reclining facility for users who are unable to maintain an upright seating position indefinitely.
Certain high-end powerchairs feature a 'standing' capability in which either the entire seat elevates to bring the user to standing height or the seat-base, seat-back and leg rests move in conjunction to bring the user into an upright position. The powerchair may or may not be able to move while in the elevated position.

Powerchairs may be designed for indoor, outdoor or indoor/outdoor use. Some indoor chairs may actually resemble a conventional armchair and have neglibible ability to deal with obstacles. Indoor/outdoor chairs generally give more consideration to their size and the need to navigate within a home environment than do outdoor chairs.
Some very large outdoor powerchairs have been designed with cross-country mobility in mind and show design convergence with other types of cross-country vehicle.

Powerchairs are generally prescribed for use by users who are unable to use a manual wheelchair. However in both the US (Medicare and some private insurers) and the UK (NHS) powerchairs are generally not prescribed to users who have any ability to walk within the home, even if that ability is so functionally constrained as to be practically useless and where the user is unable to use a manual wheelchair independently. Disability rights activists are campaigning for prescription procedures to focus on an individual needs based assessment rather than on inflexible application of prescription rules. The restricted prescribing leads to many users being forced to procure a solution privately, in some cases settling for a powerchair or a mobility scooter that is less than ideal to their needs but which falls within their budget.
The use of powerchairs is not restricted solely to users unable to use manual chairs. Any disabled person with a mobility, fatigue or pain-based impairment or cardio-vascular issues may find a powerchair advantageous in some circumstances, however existing prescription practises generally means that powerchairs for such use must be privately procured or hired for the occasion.

Access adaptions such as wheelchair spaces on public transport and wheelchair lifts are frequently designed around a typical manual wheelchair (in the UK referred to as a 'reference wheelchair'). Unfortunately powerchairs frequently exceed the size and weight limits of manual wheelchairs as they are not constrained by the ability of the user to self-propel. This may mean that certain powerchair designs are unable to use some wheelchair spaces and may be too heavy to use some wheelchair lifts.

A mobility scooter is a mobility aid equivalent to a wheelchair but configured like a motorscooter. It is often referred to as a power-operated vehicle/scooter or electric scooter as well.

Description

A mobility scooter has a seat over 3 or 4 wheels, a flat area for the feet, and handlebars in front to turn one or two steerable wheels. The seat may swivel to allow access when the front is blocked by the handlebars. Mobility scooters are usually battery powered. A battery or two is stored on board the scooter and is charged via an onboard or separate battery charger unit from standard electric power. Gasoline-powered scooters may also available in some countries, though they are rapidly being replaced by electric models. Do not confuse a mobility scooter with a wheelchair as they are for very different needs
The tiller, with forward/reverse directions and speed controls, is the steering column centrally located at the front of the scooter. Forward/reverse direction can be controlled by thumb paddles, finger controls, or a switch. There are two types of mobility scooters: front-wheel drive (FD) or rear-wheel drive (RD). The FD is usually a smaller device and is best used indoors. Rider weight capacity is generally upwards to 250 pounds maximum. The RD is used both indoors and outdoors with rider weight capacity of 350 pounds. A heavy duty rear-drive can carry up to 500 pounds, varying by manufacturer.
Allan R. Thieme invented the first mobility scooter in 1968, in Bridgeport, Michigan. Thieme was personally motivated to create this product to help a family member diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. This first mobility scooter, a front-wheel drive model, was conceived and built at his home. The Amigo, as it was brand-named, initiated the entire “scooter” industry. Today, Amigo Mobility International Inc headquarters are located in Bridgeport, Mich.

Advantages

Assistive and small sit-down motor scooters provide important advantages to people with mobility problems throughout the world. A scooter is useful for persons without the stamina or arm/shoulder flexibility necessary to use a manual wheelchair. Also, swiveling the seat of an electric scooter is generally easier than moving the foot supports on most conventional wheelchairs. A mobility scooter is very helpful for persons with systemic or whole-body disabling conditions (coronary or lung issues, some forms of arthritis, obesity, etc.) who are still able to stand and walk a few steps, sit upright without torso support, and control the steering tiller.
A major selling point of mobility scooters for many users is that they do not look like a wheelchair, disability still being seen by many as a negative or somehow shameful. Mobility scooters are in general more affordable than powered wheelchairs, leading to them being procured as a cheaper alternative.

Limitations

While a mobility scooter eliminates much of the manual strength problems of an unpowered wheelchair, its tiller steering mechanism still requires upright posture, shoulder and hand strength, and some upper-body mobility and strength. The arm-rest mounted controller typical of powerchair designs may be more suitable for many users. Other drawbacks of mobility scooters are their longer length, which limits their turning radius and ability to use some lifts or wheelchair-designed access technologies such as kneeling bus lifts. Often a mobility scooter has a low ground clearance which can make it difficult to navigate certain obstacles, such as travelling in cities without proper curb cuts. Navigating in restricted spaces, whether in the home or in public spaces and buildings can also be a problem. Scooters also have fewer options for body support, such as head or leg rests. They are rarely designed for ease of patient transfer from seat to bed. These limitations may prevent some disabled individuals from using scooters. In addition, scooter limitations may vary depending on model and manufacturer. A limitation of one make/model does not necessarily carry over to all. Individual needs may affect the suitability of a particular model.
Currently in the United States, Medicare will not approve a power wheelchair for persons who do not need to use the chair "inside their own home", even if their medical needs restrict the use of a mobility scooter. For example, a person with severe arthritis of both shoulders and hands may not be the best candidate for a scooter, but because they can walk a few steps in their own home, such persons are not seen as approved candidates for a power wheelchair either. Various disability rights groups are campaigning for Medicare to change this policy. For those who do qualify for Medicare, they can reimburse up to 80% of the total value of the scooter.^[1]
Similar restrictions on NHS powerchair provision exist in the UK, with manual wheelchairs prescribed for users with any ability to walk. This has led to many users who might be better served by a powerchair privately procuring a mobility scooter as a cheaper substitute.

Legal issues

In the UK mobility scooters are classified by The Use of Invalid Carriages on Highways Regulations 1988 as either Class II or Class III Invalid Carriages for legal purposes. A Class II scooter must be limited to 4 mph for use on a footway only, while a Class III scooter must be limited to 8 mph for road/highway use and have an additional 4 mph limiter for footway use. As of March 2010 a government consultation is underway to determine how the law should adapt to increasing scooter use, whether higher road speeds should be allowed and on a replacement for the archaic term 'invalid carriage'. Due to concerns over safety issues and problems with bringing prosecutions against irresponsible users under existing laws, the consultation will also consider whether to make third party insurance mandatory, consider the introduction of compulsory training for users and discuss how to bring scooter users under wider road traffic legislations.
Disability Bracknell told the Committee about four deaths resulting from mobility scooter accidents in one year in Bracknell alone, but there is little evidence to suggest that fatalities on this scale are replicated nationwide.^[2]

If you have acid reflux, you should try this.
This is one of the top money-making drugs of all time, and for good reason. It works. I used to have pretty bad acid reflux. I would chew Pepcid Complete (which is an antacid drug combined with a base to neutralize acid) after every meal, as if they were after-dinner mints. Now, I just take Prilosec once a day, and now I almost never suffer from heartburn, and when I do, it is not as bad as it used to be. Trust me on this. This drug works differently than Pepcid or Zantac (I have a Ph.D in biology), so if those drugs don't work for you, don't be afraid to give this a try.

Prilosec (Omeprazole) Works - Period!
For those that suffer with frequent heartburn or have frequent instances of gastric reflux, Prilosec is a literal lifesaver.

Stomach acid is strong stuff (pH of 1), and belongs in the stomach, not in the esophagus, where it can cause burning of the esophageal lining (hertburn). If this happens frequently, the esophagus can be badly damaged. Gastro-esophageal Reflex Disease (GERD)can also cause severe erosive damage to the teeth if stomach acid is burped into the mouth frequently. The tooth enamel is literally eroded away, and teeth become very sensitive and permanently damaged.

To save your teeth and esophagus, Prilosec has come to the rescue. Prilosec is a former prescription product in a class of medicines called proton pump inhibitors. This means that the effect of Prilosec is to decrease stomach acid production. This is also beneficial for treatment of stomach ulcers, which need a minimal acid environment to heal.

Prilosec is taken once a day for 14 days in a typical course (thus, it is generally packaged in groups of 14 tablets). Most people have considerable relief beyond the 14 day course. It is not a product to take for immediate (within minutes) treatment of heartburn. The insert on the box states it takes at least a day to 4 days to reach its full effect. Each person will vary in terms of relief and how long the relief lasts.

Prilosec is a very good medicine for the treatment of GERD. It is in the same class as Prevacid, so if Prilosec gives you undesirable side effects, try Prevacid and the side effects may be lessened.

A Lifesaver!
As my acid reflux worsened over the years, I made the usual progression from antacid tablets, to Pepcid AC, and eventually to prescription medications like Prevacid and Nexium. Prevacid works great but it still requires a prescription and Nexium caused side effects in me. Once Prilosec was offered over the counter I gave it a try and was very impressed. After a week or two of taking it every day, I was able to decrease the dosage to the point where I only take it as needed now. Once I feel heartburn starting, or I eat something guaranteed to give me heartburn, I just take one of these and its gone in about 30 minutes...and when I say gone I mean gone for 10-12 hours.

I highly recommend this product to anyone who suffers acid reflux or chronic heartburn.

Great product given the right job.
I was given one of these reachers after a surgery I had over 15 years ago. We have since accumulated 3 of them and 2 of the 3 are still going strong (my oldest one just broke). It can pick up very small items or "large" items like a full can of soda / canned goods. The mouth opens to about 4" so a can is about the largest thing that will fit. However, this thing is built like a tank and can pick up just about anything your wrist can handle. I've picked up a gallon of milk with it and other heavy items. The magnet is very useful for picking up paper clips and the like. With a little practice, you can even pick up a grain of rice with it! One thing this thing has real trouble with is picking up paper. The jaw is made of hard plastic and has a hard time picking up anything that is flat on the floor. I recommend the reachers with the suction cups (not the folding kind) for things like paper.

A most helpful tool and a must for people that have trouble reaching. My only complaint is they do not offer a heavy duty model (string has a tendency to break - a light wire would be better.

Spine-Worx is amazing!
I am a 62 year old male and have been using Spine-Worx for years, since back when it was called Spine Align. Not only does it help to maintain my spine in alignment between chiropractic adjustments, I find that I don't need to see the chiropractor anywhere nearly as often as I once did. In fact, I haven't been to my chiropractor for months, and I used to go at least once a week. By using Spine-Worx, I've stopped chest pains, numbness in my fingers, headaches, pain in my hip from an on-the-job injury, pain in my knee and ankle, and there are probably others that I can't think of right now. Anything that a chiropractor is helpful for regarding the spine, this device can provide assistance. (It will not rotate the ilia; it only helps the spinal vertebrae.) While it can't diagnose an individual's particular problem as a chiropractor can (such as a rotated ilium), it gives general assistance to every vertebra in the back. While it has been said that it cannot adjust the neck (cervical spine), in adjusting the rest of the spine, it helps in getting the neck to straighten itself out. In addition, I've found that, when I've already gotten movement to the other parts of my spine, by raising my hips and lower back off the Spine Worx while keeping my shoulders and neck on the Spine Worx, I have indeed gotten my neck to pop back into alignment. The more time I spend on it, the better the results I get. I can't say enough for this item.

If you are accustomed to chiropractic care, you should not have any trouble with this. If you've never had your spine aligned, you might be in for a surprise when your vertebra pops back in line. Also, the longer your spine has been misaligned, the more discomfort you may feel as the device straightens your spine out to be as it was meant to be. For these times, I recommend using the Spine Worx after a hot shower or hot bath so the muscles will be most relaxed and not tight, in hopes that they won't be tight and try to pull the vertebra back out of alignment again. Discomfort might be the sensation of pulling along the spine of the muscles that are attached to the individual vertebra that is suddenly in a new position, and related sensations. I feel that, if you stick with it, using it the recommended 15 minutes per day, you will feel better and have better health.

In any case, it's certainly worth a try. I have three of them, one for the car (I get extra pressure by pushing against the steering wheel for adjusting the thorax), one for the house, and a spare in case something happens to the others: I don't ever want to be without my Spine-Worx!

Seems to depend on individual
I'm almost 50yo with lower back pain. The pain is caused by slight misalignment, compression, and pinched nerves (standard lower back pain). Care must be exercised to place the spinal column in the correct position. If you get the spine aligned properly, you then must find a way to force your muscles to relax and allow the device to do it's job. This is uncomfortable at first so that makes it harder to relax the muscles. Once the muscles finally relaxed, I could feel the spine realigning and it felt good. I rated 4 stars primarily dues to the difficulty in centering the spine on it although, in all fairness, I don't know how they could have designed it differently. Bottom line: If the dog ate it, I'd buy another.

Excellent product, immediate pain relief!
I ordered this out of desperation after a slipped disc kept me bent over and in constant pain for two weeks. I have too high a deductible to run to the doctor for everything so this was my last chance before undergoing expensive tests and treatment. It worked like a charm and got my spine back in alignment. I felt a few pops and then relief. I find 6 or 8 minutes all that is needed and only when I feel back strain. I did not experience anything negative and had no trouble at all finding the right position. The Spine Worx comes with explicit instructions on how to align yourself and the proper way to get up after treatment. I can see where there could be trouble if you fail to follow these instructions. I used this in combination with the Homedic's Shiatsu massage chair and have been completely pain free for about two months now. This was pain muscle relaxers and pain killers couldn't touch!! I highly recommend this product if you are willing to follow the recommended guidelines.
